Through the activity of improving the production and research for new vines, Dragasani area became the most reknown wine terrorir in Romania. Here there were grown over 60 local and foreign varieties. Today, Dragasani vineyard is spreding on an area of over 16000 ha, which includes also vineyards from Valcea County neighbourhood.
